A bit about your Botswana Fishing Consultant & Owner of Africa Inbound Safaris:

Mel Albers has worked in the Safari Industry in Botswana since 1999.   She currently lives in Maun and spends a large amount of her time out in the bush and traversing the fishing areas of the Okavango Delta.  Her extensive knowledge of the Okavango Delta, safaris and the industry will ensure that your booking is handled personally and in a tailor made manner, meeting your specific requirements, whether it be a fishing only or combined fishing / camping / lodge experience.

Her great love and knowledge of fishing  and the safari industry has developed over the years, beginning with her first catfish haul back in 1999 and she has been inspired and encouraged in her fishing endeavours by her husband, Grant, also an avid reel and fly- fisherman.  She has since gone on to fish for Tiger fish, Talapia (Bream), Catfish and the many other fish species which occur in Botswana.  From the great Okavango River in the North Western part of the country where the wide river feeds from Angola into Botswana, right down to the middle and southern parts of the Okavango Delta.

Mel has fished the Chobe River in Northern Botswana as well as the Zambezi River in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Namibia, along with Lake Kariba in Zimbabwe.

Mel has travelled the world in her fishing pursuit and has frequented countries like Costa Rica, Panama, Belize, Mexico and the United States.
