A Fishing Trip with Us

Whether you're a rod and reel fisherman or a serious fly fisherman, we cater to all.

The Okavango Delta is home to 71 fish species including the Tiger Fish, Tilapia and various species of Catfish.  Fish sizes can range from 1.4m (African Sharptooth Catfish) to 3.2cm (Sickle Barb).  The same species are to be found in the Zambezi River, indicating the historic link between the two river systems.

The “Barbel Runs” of the Okavango Delta take place anytime from September to December every year.  This feeding frenzy that occurs almost exclusively in the far northern corner of Botswana is something every fisherman just has to experience at least once in their lifetime.  For the serious fly or reel fisherman, it’s simply an opportunity  to indulge in some serious fishing action.  Because alongside the Barbel, come the highly sought after Tiger Fish which is held in high esteem as Africa’s prime freshwater target.

March to April is good for Bream (Tilapia).  August through to September is good for Nembwe.  During January and February, the fishing is closed in Botswana due to the breeding season taking place.

Definitely one for your bucket list, the Tiger Fish species provides thrilling angling for both experienced and novice

fishermen and can reach as much as nine kilos in weight.
